New Polls Show Blue&White Widening Gap Over Likud

A new Kan 11 poll released Thursday night revealed that Blue&White is opening a gap in the race with 36 seats, compared with Likud’s 31 seats. It means that, for the first time in a decade, Benjamin Netanyahu might not be the first party leader approached by the president to put together the next coalition government, Indeed, the same poll also gave Blue&White chairman Benny Gantz for the first time the advantage over Netanyahu in respondents’ view as to who is better fit to lead the country: 42% picked Gantz, only 41% favored Netanyahu.
The 103FM poll, released Friday morning, gives Blue&White 34 seats, compared with only 30 mandates going to the Likud.

The same poll also shows that Yamina, the religious-Zionist-rightwing slate that was just formed Wednesday night picked up 9 mandates, two more than Naftali Bennett’s and Ayelet Shaked’s New Right had done on its own. Itamar Ben-Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit did not pass the 3.24% vote threshold. Otzma did receive 2 mandates, which would have gone to Yamina – although the calculus there is a lot more complex, with the question being how many mandates would have been lost to Yamina had they included Ben-Gvir.

The left-Arabs bloc has 58 mandates, the rightwing-Haredim 55, Liberman is the decider with 7.
