The Wyndham Dolce Kosher House Hotel is located at 5530 S. State Road 7, Hollywood, FL. Just across the street of Wyndham’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, with a target opening in October 2022.
Another kosher hotel may be available near the Seminole Tribe of Florida Resort by 2024.
The Wyndham Dolce Kosher House is a 100 guest room hotel tailored to observant Jewish customers.
Its plan features a kosher rooftop restaurant, a Shabbat elevator (a one that will automatically stop on each floor), a rooftop pool, and manual room keys, as well as robot-assisted room service.
BSD Capital made some other facility improvements due to the Covid-19 pandemic. One such change is the integration of a touchless meal delivery system. Guests can order room service and have food transported to their level for pickup; only those with a code can open the compartment to get the order.
The price is set to be $180 and $200 per night, while Hard Rock is currently charging between $500 and $600 per night.
Sharon Sharaby, is developing the hotel with partner Guy Levintin through their Boca Raton-based company, BSD Capital LLC.
Sharaby told The Real Deal Miami that while many Florida hotels offer kosher services during Jewish holidays, he will be the only one that will cater to observant Jews year-round. “Nobody does it on a 365-day basis,” he said.
Sharaby believes his kosher hotel will appeal to Jewish vacationers who prefer casinos to beaches. “Some people view casinos similarly to the ocean: they yearn to wake up in front of a casino,” he explained.
The second BSD Capital’s Wyndham-branded Kosher hotel, just two blocks north, at 5300 State Road 7, will be a mixed-use development with 64 condominium apartments.
This hotel would bear the upmarket Wyndham Grand name, feature 200 rooms, and allow owners of the 64 condos to rent their apartments on a short-term basis through Wyndham’s reservation system.
The Wyndham Grand also includes 50,000 square feet of office space; 26,000 square feet of retail space; 13,000 square feet of event space, and two restaurants.
The project is subject to city approval. Sharaby stated it could be completed by 2024.
