Two Israeli women, both veterans of the IDF who were visiting in New York last week, got a real “close up” sample of Brooklyn subway crime when they were robbed and beaten by some of the night life of the city after getting off the train and walking up the stairs of the station.

As they were walking up the stairs of the station, they were approached by a male and female who apparently were on the same train, and probably had an eye on their bags. The male had a knife, and a taser. The female used her fists, punching one of the victims repeatedly in the face. They demanded the Israelis hand over the bags, and give them the pass codes to their new phones – which they did, instantly.NYPD was summoned after the perpetrators fled. The police took a report, called a city ambulance and medics took one of the victims to Maimonides Medical Center in Boro Park to be treated for the multiple blows to her face.The two young women took a flight back to Israel the next day.
