Jamf (NASDAQ: JAMF), which describes itself as the standard in Apple Enterprise Management, has acquired Israeli company Wandera, a leader in zero trust cloud security and access for mobile devices for $400 million.

Jamf declares that the acquisition of Wandera will extend its mobile security and access capabilities with Zero Trust Network Access, threat defense and data policy enforcement.

So what is Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). Basically it is what it sounds like: a category of technologies that provides secure remote access to applications and services. If you don’t trust anyone with access then you have less to be worried about.

Founded by brothers Roy and Eldar Tuvey, Wandera provides a zero trust cloud security solution to protect the modern workplace. The company says that it enables zero-trust access to all applications, so that users can secure their data and devices against cyber threats and help them apply policies to filter internet access and reduce risk exposure.

“We believe in making security simple. This is why we created a unified offering, managed through a single console and supported by the broadest range of ecosystem integrations,” says the company.

Wandera is recognized as a leader by analyst firms including Gartner and IDC. It works with thousands of customers that are serviced through its fast and scalable global network. Findings from their research have been featured in a wide range of publications, including The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, BBC and Forbes. It has also received multiple industry awards, including three consecutive ‘Mobile Security Solution of the Year’ awards by Computing Security and ‘Best Mobile Security Solution’ by SC Magazine.

“In order to lead Apple Enterprise Management and best serve the growing number of organizations using Apple at work, Jamf needs to fill the gap between what users want and what the enterprise requires,” said Dean Hager, CEO, Jamf. “The combination of Wandera and Jamf will provide our customers a single source platform that handles deployment, Application Lifecycle Management, policies, filtering, and security capabilities across all Apple devices while delivering Zero Trust Network Access for all mobile workers.”

“Jamf and Wandera are able to take advantage of the immense market opportunity to shape the future of the zero trust cloud. We are thrilled to be joining forces with the leader in Apple Enterprise Management,” said Eldar Tuvey, CEO and co-founder, Wandera. “We founded Wandera to make security simple in a zero trust world. By combining with Jamf, we can offer our customers a truly integrated access and security platform, with exceptional ease of use, speed, scalability and reliability. Together, we accelerate our customers’ ability to seamlessly and securely keep their employees connected, no matter where they are.”
