Attack on IDF Soldiers Added to Lawsuit Against Anarchist Pollak

In response to a request by Judge Dov Pollok of the Jerusalem Magistrate Court, the Ad Kan organization added charges to their complaint against activists from “Anarchists Against the Wall.” The new charges relate to dozens of riots where IDF soldiers have been injured.

Ad Kan (lit. Up to here) is an Israeli Zionist activist organization. It is known for infiltrating Israeli extreme Left wing organizations, as well as other forms of protest against organizations which it sees as anti-Israel.

The complaint against Ilan Shalif, Kobi Snitz, and Jonathan Pollak details the dates of various violent riots, the locations, and also recordings of the attacks on soldiers.

Attorney Tzur Polk, the Ad Kan Legal Advisor, said that these are only some of the incidents in which the anarchists had taken part. The defendants were observed standing among individuals with their faces covered, guiding the stone throwers where to stand, and calling on the crowd to join the violence. One of them was even part of a group that tried to break the security fence.

Defendant Jonathan Pollak was recorded in no less than 12 incidents, including as part of a group of rioters who threw stones at IDF soldiers, rolled burning tires towards the soldiers, and fought with Border Police.

Polk added, “Even though we believe that the original complaint was sufficient in its details, in light of the Judge’s comments, we added a section detailing dozens of violent incidents where the defendants took part.”

“We added the dates of the riots and explained the role of each defendant in each incident. Out of the hundreds of incidents where IDF soldiers were attacked, we added details on 27 specific incidents where the anarchists participated. This is in order to prove our accusations before the court and demonstrate that the three defendants were an integral part of the riots. Beyond organizing the incidents, they also took part in the violence itself and assisted the rioters who attacked IDF soldiers with slingshots,” Polk said.

“Unfortunately, at times, these attacks achieved their stated purpose and injured our soldiers. We hope that the courts will quickly convict the defendants and end the attacks on IDF soldiers,” Polk said.

Ad Kan pointed out that Jonathan Pollak and Kobi Snitz have continued to take part in the riots in recent months even after the complaint had been filed. This was true even after a warrant had been issued for Pollak’s arrest due to his failure to attend the hearings. In particular Pollak took part in a riot in the Jordan Valley two months ago where he was seen opposing a Jewish landowner while encroaching on private property.

During another riot in Turmus Aya, Pollak was seen blocking an IDF jeep that was surrounded by a sea of rioters. Pollak shouted at the soldiers while other rioters threw stones at the jeep.
