Israel’s PerimeterX Offers Information Security
It just raised $75 million.
PerimeterX is an Israeli information security company. The startup just raised $57 million in a financing round led by global asset management firm AllianceBernstein. The current round, the company’s fourth round to date, brings its total amount of capital raised to $144 million.
In 2019, PerimeterX raised $43 million in a round led by Scale Venture Partners. The new capital will be used to expand into new geographies and vertical markets.
Founded in 2014, PerimeterX is a provider of application security solutions that it boasts keep your web business safe in the complex digital world. Delivered as a service, the company says that its Bot Defender, Code Defender, and Page Defender solutions detect risks to your web applications and proactively manage them, freeing you to focus on growth and innovation.
The startup said that its products were used to protect over $100 billion in e-commerce revenue in 2020 and that it processed over 2 billion login requests per day. During Cyber 5, the holiday shopping period from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday, the company said it protected over $12 billion in e-commerce revenue and processed a record 93 billion requests.
“After adopting Bot Defender and experiencing the immediate impact it had on their security posture, our customers asked us to help secure their assets from additional expanding threats, enhancing our out-of-band scalable platform,” CEO Omri Iluz said in a press release. “This new funding, plus our rapidly growing revenue … will allow us to expand our platform by leveraging collective insights to defend customers against a much broader range of threat types.”

PerimterX has recently expanded its products’ capabilities with enhanced blocking for its Code Defender to reduce the risk of client-side data breaches. It added protection for account takeover attacks, a new verification to give customers choices beyond visual CAPTCHA, and a unified user dashboard to proactively manage new and emerging threats. It also further expanded its ecosystem with new and enhanced integrations–including with Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, Snyk, DataDog and Splunk–to continue enabling customers to integrate anywhere as they evolve their infrastructure due to the accelerated pace of digital transformation.
