Gordon Haberman is an incredible man who has gone through what nobody should ever have to experience: needing to bury his daughter. Even worse, having no body to bury because of the inferno that was 9/11.
He sent me the book written about his daughter, Andrea, and his family’s entire torturous journey – here seen covered by 60 Minutes. It was admirably written by Wisconsin journalist Mike Nichols, who later became president of the Badger Institute. When I reached out, Mr. Nichols had already watched the episode of my show with Gordon and was pleased that I would be creating this post. He had no desire for self-promotion and truly just cared about this wonderful family.
I hope this reel helps honor that beautiful young lady’s memory, as she was murdered and taken far, far too soon.
