Two unidentified, armed goons attacked a 15-year-old Jewish boy while on a public bus in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

The attackers threatened Zachary Hershkovich at knife-point, grabbing his earbuds and his kipah while making anti-Semitic remarks, according to a report published by the New York Post.

They also attempted to pull his wallet out of his pocket but stopped when the victim began yelling back at them. Other passengers on the bus also began making a scene, further complicating their task and spurring them to end their attempted robbery as quickly as possible.

The incident took place on the B-3 bus, which was headed towards Kings’ Plaza, at East 17th Street and Avenue U.

The two attackers allegedly returned Hershkovich’s property to him before getting off the bus in Marine Park, at Flatbush Avenue and Avenue U, across the street from King’s Plaza mall, according to a police spokesperson.

The incident is under investigation by the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force.
