Lebanon presents electric car called “Jerusalem”
A Lebanese electric car maker Electra is revealing its first car called “Quds” (“Jerusalem”) to be launched in Q2 of 2020.
According to the company, the car is equipped with a lithium-ion battery that allows an impressive driving range of 500 to 800 kilometers and acceleration to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.8 seconds.
Electra allows an early order of the Quds (but does not specify a price), this is a car based on an aluminum chassis to which body parts are made of carbon fiber.
Jihad Mohamed, the founder of Electra said, “From a market point of view we found that one of the problems is that electric cars are very expensive, or not attractive in terms of appearance. a car that looks like a million dollars but available to non-millionaire clients, a car that can be driven daily and not just for weekends, as many exotic cars are, due to expensive maintenance and upkeep.”
