Netanyahu Meets for Talks with Portuguese Prime Minister in Lisbon

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today met with Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Kushta and Portugal’s Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva at the Portuguese Prime Minister’s Office in Lisbon.

Netanyahu and Kushta discussed strengthening cooperation between their two countries in the fields of economics, innovation, cyber, science and water. They agreed on the exchange of delegations in these areas, and also agreed on cooperation in Africa.

The Israeli prime minister congratulated his Portuguese counterpart on his accession to the IHRA — the international Holocaust commemoration task force — and called on Portugal to join the US position in intensifying pressure on Iran.
