Now Gal Gadot Slams Joss Whedon Too

Whedon had previously been criticized for harassment by others.

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot has joined the growing chorus of people who have worked for famed TV and film director/producer Joss Whedon and who have now accused him of being a harassing jerk. People who worked for him on his old television shows like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Charisma Carpenter and Michelle Trachtenberg have already said publicly that he sexually harassed them in one way or another on his most famous show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Gadot worked for Whedon when he directed her in the movie “Justice League” in 2017 when she first portrayed Wonder Woman.

Now Gal Gadot has, to a certain extent, confirmed what the others said. In an interview for Israel’s Channel 12 N12 news she said that Whedon, “kind of threatened my career and said if I did something, he would make my career miserable and I just took care of it instead.

It was a man, however, who previously slammed the director for being mean and maniacal on the shoot. Ray Fisher who played Cyborg had earlier complained that Whedon had mistreated him during filming. The movie was first filmed by Zack Snyder, who was forced to drop out in the middle of production. So the studio brought Whedon in to finish the project. And Whedon then chose to reshoot many of its scenes instead of just completing the work which had yet to be done.

Gadot had p[reviously confirmed Fisher’s complaints, telling the Los Angeles Times that she was “happy for Ray to go out and speak his truth. I wasn’t there with the guys when they shot with Joss Whedon – I had my own experience with [him], which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher-ups and they took care of it. But I’m happy for Ray to go up and say his truth.”

When asked about current co-star Armie Hammer, who has been accused by multiple women of bizzare and abusive behavior, Gal Gadot was a bit more diplomatic. “It’s complicated,” she said. “ If when the truth comes out and it is true that he did do these things, well a man must take responsibility for his actions and pay the price for them.”
