A private American organization is to build a hospital at the northern end of the Gaza Strip. Israel has already admitted hospital equipment into the Strip. But the project is being condemned by the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Health, which claims that “the American hospital project is not innocent, and its goals are dangerous.” [Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 27, 2019]

Elaborating on these alleged “dangerous goals,” an op-ed in the official PA daily claimed that the hospital is run by “the CIA,” and its purpose is not to treat the sick Palestinians but “to carry out experiments on the sick Palestinians,” and “to be a partner in trafficking in human organs”:
“The American administration and the CIA, which are actually supervising the hospital and its staff, transferred it to the southern Palestinian districts (i.e., the Gaza Strip) to serve the US as an early warning, monitoring, and espionage station where it was established. This was in addition to a matter that I think not one of the observers have noticed: The hospital has an additional functional role, which is to carry out experiments on the sick Palestinians, and not to treat them and care for their health… and it is possible that the hospital will be a partner in trafficking in human organs.”
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 2, 2019]
The PA Ministry of Health said that it considers it Israel’s “deliberate step to finally and completely separate the Gaza Strip and the West Bank by preventing any connection on any level between our people in the two parts of the homeland.”
Palestinian Media Watch has exposed previous PA libels claiming Israel does medical experiments on prisoners and steals organs from dead terrorists, the so-called “Martyrs.” Even the Arab League has repeated these PA lies.
The following are longer excerpts of the reports quoted above:
Excerpt of op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily:
Headline: “We want a hospital according to our standards”
“Following the humiliating understandings of the truce between Israel and Hamas, and as part of preparing the way for the implementation of the ominous deal of the century (i.e., referring to US President Donald Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan), the establishment of a hospital whose area is 45 dunams (approximately 45,000 sq. meters -Ed.) on lands of the town of Beit Hanoun adjacent to the border with the Israeli colonialist state, has been announced.
It turned out that an American organization called Friendship is the owner of the project, and that it will be a field hospital capable of containing approximately 500 beds. This is according to the statement of Hamas Movement spokesman Hazem Qassem, who falsely claimed that the hospital is under the supervision of the [PA] Ministry of Health. This was denied by [PA] Minister of Health Dr. Mai Al-Kaila and by the [PA] government led by [PA Prime Minister] Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh.
What is important is that the hospital – whose logistic and medical equipment is coming in on Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 24 and 26, 2019, through the Beit Hanoun crossing – existed and operated in areas subjected to the rule of the Takfiri organizations (i.e., Muslim organizations that accuse other Muslims of being infidels) in Syria. After their role neared its end and their mission failed, the American administration and the CIA, which are actually supervising the hospital and its staff, transferred it to the southern Palestinian districts (i.e., the Gaza Strip) to serve the US as an early warning, monitoring, and espionage station where it was established. This was in addition to a matter that I think not one of the observers have noticed: The hospital has an additional functional role, which is to carry out experiments on the sick Palestinians, and not to treat them and care for their health… and it is possible that the hospital will be a partner in trafficking in human organs.
Without relating to all of the aforementioned data and estimations, it can definitely be determined that the Palestinian people and its legal leadership always have the will to excel in two areas of life: health and education. Therefore, there is no Palestinian who rejects on principle the establishment of any hospital or medical center in any part of Palestine, as long as it is in coordination with the Palestinian [PA] Ministry of Health, under its supervision, and according to the standards and regulations in practice in the Palestinian state. However:
a. There was no coordination in the matter of the new American hospital between the party in charge of it and the legal Ministry of Health, which has the last word in all connected to health.
b. The hospital is part of a humiliating agreement between the Hamas Movement and the Israeli colonialism state, and has no connection to the national legal government.
c. It is also part of the ominous deal of the century, and has no connection to concern of the Trump administration and the CIA for the health of the Palestinian people; this is a tool to destroy the health of the Palestinian people.
d. It constitutes an advance intelligence center that is targeting the Palestinians’ interests and their rights, and an advance base of the Israeli Mossad (Israeli Secret Intelligence Service) due to the strategic ties between the American service and the Israeli one.
e. It will be tantamount to a guillotine that will reap the souls of the fighters who are liable to reach it in emergencies or not in emergencies.
In light of everything noted above, we oppose the establishment of the hospital. We do not want it in Palestine, as it is in opposition to the Palestinian project in the health field, and because [it is in opposition] to the national project in general. Therefore, the hospital must not be built, and it can be expected of the Palestinian masses in general and in the Gaza Strip in particular to come out in mass participant popular demonstrations in order to bury the intelligence project, which will turn the Palestinian people into lab samples for experiments as part of American studies.”
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 2, 2019]
Headline: “The [PA] Ministry of Health warns: The American hospital project is not innocent, and its goals are dangerous”
“The [PA] Ministry of Health again emphasized its firm rejection of any project, regardless of the name under which it is included, if it harms Palestinian sovereignty, the national project, and our people’s rights.
The ministry said in a press statement yesterday [Sept. 26, 2019] that it is watching the project to establish the American hospital in the northern Gaza Strip with concern and caution. The ministry also considers this an attempt to whitewash the image of the Israeli occupation that is drenched in the blood of the Palestinians, and a deliberate step to finally and completely separate the Gaza Strip and the West Bank by preventing any connection on any level between our people in the two parts of the homeland.
The ministry added that this project is striving to realize the Israeli goals to eliminate the Palestinian cause, divide it, and create additional excuses for creating a tiny state in the Gaza Strip that will come at the expense of the Palestinian history and rights.
The ministry continued [and said] that the project’s goals are obvious to every intelligent person, as Israel is the only one to benefit from this because it will prevent sick Palestinians from entering the hospitals of the West Bank and Jerusalem in order to receive treatment, and it is already preventing dozens of civilians from their right to treatment now, which has caused the deaths of many sick people as they await the required permits to enter the hospitals.”
