Three rockets were fired at southern Israel on Saturday night, according to the IDF Spokesperson who said “the air defense fighters intercepted three launches.”
All three were aimed at the city of Sderot. All three were successfully intercepted by the Iron Dome.

Red Alert incoming rocket alert sirens blared through numerous southern Israeli communities just seconds before residents heard the “booms” of the Iron Dome interceptions in the sky above their heads.

Three people were hurt while racing to bomb shelters, medics said. A 10-year-old girl, a 47-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man all sustained mild injuries in Sderot.
Two other people were treated for severe anxiety that was triggered by the Red Alert sirens set off in the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional District as well as in Sderot and at Sapir College.
At a Bnei Akiva event in the city, panic was moderated by a counselor who calmed people down, but the celebration was nevertheless ruined. “Lie down, put your hands on your head. There’s no need to panic,” the counselor said calmly in one video that made the rounds on social media. In a second video posted on Twitter, a boy said, “It’s a Red Alert siren, right? Rocket fire?”

Nevertheless, Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi vowed the city and its residents would not be broken by the terrorists, nor by their attacks.
“Again Gaza terrorists are disturbing Sderot’s children and firing rockets at us exactly when Bnei Akiva is holding an event,” Davidi said in a statement after the attack.
“We are informing you that we’re not going to be broken. Sderot youth are stronger than everything. We extend our hand to you in brotherhood, our dear Bnei Akiva youth.”
