Beginning on Tuesday, a huge tent is to be erected in the Rebbe’s honor on Joel Street in the holy city of Jerusalem.

“Police will be deployed in order to reduce the difficulty to residents’ lives.”

Beginning at 8 pm Monday, the right lane will be blocked on Sarei Israel Street. Traffic will be possible only in the left lane.

On Tuesday 4 pm to midnight: the following streets will be blocked:
Malchei Yisrael, Sarei Israel – both directions
Shamgar / Sarei Israel junction
Rehov Yafo / Sarei Israel junction

No vehicle will be allowed to reach any of the nearby streets or those leading in to these areas.

Main arteries to remain open to traffic to which drivers will be directed are Yirmiyahu and Shamgar.

Public transportation only will be allowed to access the Begin Highway, and Rabin Boulevard.

Due to anticipated heavy traffic, “we recommend that the public plan and advance their travel accordingly, and use a GPS navigational app,” said the police spokesperson.

“We urge the public to heed police instructions and above all, be patient.”
