What Celebrities Said About the Latest Round of Israel vs Hamas Fighting

Its no wonder that Gal Gadot is one woman who defended Israel.

The verdict is in: most celebrities blamed Israel for the latest round of fighting with the Hamas terrorist organization. Nothing will ever stop self-absorbed narcissistic Hollywood actors and people who are famous for nothing from actually believing that they know anything about anything. But they always stand against Israel whenever something happens. Could there be a reason for this

Just about the only famous celebrity to say anything in support of Israel was Gal Gadot. But she is an Israeli herself. And Gadot, of course, was slammed by countless people for daring to defend her own country on social media.

Then there is the Oscar winning actress Natalie Portman who was born in Israel. Israelis are not so happy with her, to say the least. Today on Israel’s Channel 12 morning news program the hosts expressed their anger with Portman for not speaking out.

Bill Maher is ordinarily the lone person on the American left who is also very much pro-Israel. But his HBO show has been off for the last two weeks after he tested positive for the Coronavirus. Maher, however, has oddly chosen to remain silent about the conflict on social media. And he is not alone. Politically vocal comedians like Sarah Silverman and Chelsea Handler who tweet like crazy all of the time have also said nothing about it on Twitter.

While this is surely t the case with Maher, many Jewish celebs are probably remaining silent because they fear being condemned by certain people. Too bad the Jew don’t really run Hollywood like people say.

Of course, there are numerous examples of Hollywood celebs blaming Israel, condemning the country for everything. These people stopped just short of blaming Israel for the Coronavirus, cancer, and death itself.

The day after the fighting began, Oscar winning actress Viola Davis made a hostile anti-Israel post on Instagram titled “What To Know About Sheikh Jarrah.” The post used deliberately volatile terms like “ethnic cleansing” to describe what had happened in the Arab Jerusalem neighborhood.

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey made multiple anti-Israel posts on social media. Susan Sarandon continued with here attacks on Israel while asserting that such criticisms of the country do not make her an anti-Semite. The Hulk is of course an expert on world affairs and terrorism. So Mark Ruffalo tweeted, “1500 Palestinians face expulsion in #Jerusalem. 200 protesters have been injured. 9 children have been killed. Sanctions on South Africa helped free its black people – it’s time for sanctions on Israel to free Palestinians. Join the call.”

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah at least pretended to be even handed. He began by saying the following:
“If you start from ‘Israel fired rockets into Gaza,’ well then Israel is the bad guy. But then you take a step back in time and you go, ‘Well Hamas fired rockets at Israel,’ then Hamas is the bad guy. But then you take a step back and you go, ‘Well, the Israeli police, they went in and started beating people up in a mosque during Ramadan. Well then Israel is the bad guy. But then you go well the Palestinians, they were throwing rocks — well the Israelis, they were kicking people out of their homes — well the intifada — well Israel keeps taking more and more land — well the Arab invasion and back and back and back, and who knows how far!”

But then Noah digressed into the typical condemnation and blame of Israel every time the fighting flares up again simply because it has a more powerful military.

“I just want to ask an honest question here,” Noah said. “If you are in a fight where the other person cannot beat you, how much should you retaliate when they try to hurt you? Everyone has a different answer to the question, and I’m not trying to answer the question, nor do I think I’m smart enough to solve it. All I ask is, when you have this much power, what is your responsibility?”

Translation: Its Israel’s fault.

Former Daily Show cast member John Oliver was less subtle in his ant-Israel rantings. Oliver had the Chutzpah to say these words: “One side has suffered over 10 times the casualties, something which speaks to both the severe power imbalance at play here and how that often gets obscured by how we choose to talk about it.”

Apparently it’s all Israel’s fault because it has the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system to shoot down Hamas’ missiles. But Hamas knows that it does so why didn’t Oliver ask why they shoot missiles at Israel anyway.
