Rotem arrived secretly in Dubai on Sunday together with a delegation of senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for talks with UAE and Expo officials on the details of Israel’s participation in the event.

Construction of Israel’s pavilion is to begin already next week: The Jewish State is expected to present cutting edge technologies and innovations in the fields of water, medicine and data management.

“Israel’s participation in the Expo reflects the upgrade in Israel’s status, not only at the international level but also among key state actors in our region,” Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz pointed out.

“The participation gives Israel an extraordinary opportunity to showcase its capabilities and achievements in the field of technology alongside vibrant Israeli culture.”
