Many thousands of Israelis will be spending Shabbat in Hebron in honor of Parshat Chayei Sara, the Torah portion read this weekend which discusses Avraham’s purchase of the Cave of the Patriarchs in order to bury Sara.

As there isn’t enough bed space within the small section of Hebron where Jews are allowed to live, people bring tents and campers and rough it for the weekend.
