Israel has been the “beneficiary” of many international insults over the past year, courtesy of the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions (BDS) economic war against the Jewish State and most recently, the attempt by the Palestinian Authority to wage diplomatic war against Israel via the International Criminal Court at The Hague.
But even as there are many forms of darkness in the world, so too this Chanukah season have many lights made themselves known to Israelis as well, some of them quite unique.

One of the biggest surprises came in the form of a public Chanukah greeting to the Jewish People from the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the United States, complete with an internet card posted on the Twitter social networking site in the colors of the flag of the State of Israel.

Israeli relations with the region’s neighbors have improved over the past couple of years, in direct proportion to the growing threat in the region from Iran.
Israel is expected to showcase its agricultural innovations next year at the 2020 World Expo in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) city of Dubai.
