Elon Musk to donate all X Israel-Hamas war profits to medics

Billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of X, formerly Twitter, continues to court controversy.

Recently, Musk expressed support for an antisemitic post on his social network. A user wrote that “Jewish communties have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them. [SIC]”

Musk briefly responded, “You have said the actual truth.”

The post that Musk endorsed refers to a white supremacist conspiracy theory that believes Jews are actively working to diminish the white population worldwide. One of the theory’s prominent believers is Robert Bowers, the perpetrator of the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh in 2018.

Elon Musk’s change of heart amid Israel-Hamas war

However, it appears that Musk has had a change of heart. The billionaire announced on Tuesday evening that X, under his ownership, will donate all revenue generated from advertising and subscriptions related to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war to hospitals in Israel, the Red Crescent in Gaza, and the Red Cross.

After his antisemitic statements, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates criticized him: “It is unacceptable to repeat the hideous lie behind the most fatal act of Antisemitism in American history at any time, let alone one month after the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.”
