Former Ivanka Trump BFF Slams Her in Vanity Fair Article

Lysandra Ohrstrom had a lot to say about Ivanka Trump.

Lysandra Ohrstrom and Ivanka Trump were once best friends. But now Ohrstrom is spilling the beans on the real Ivanka in a Vanity Fair article.

Lysandra Ohrstrom is a freelance journalist and editor who has reported on Lebanon and the U.S. for more than 10 years.

Ivanka Trump and Lysandra Ohrstrom first met in the seventh grade when both were students at Chapin, an all-girls school for the children of the wealthy and privileged on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. They were not close friends at first, but Ohrstrom tells the story of how she was invited to go down to Atlantic City for Ivanka Trump’s 13th birthday party held at Donald Trump’s Taj Mahal hotel and casino.

When she met Donald Trump at his office Ohrstrom recounts how he described Ivanka’s teenage girlfriends. One, Trump said, looked like young Cindy Crawford and another girl the future President said had a great figure. Ohrstrom also says that Trump always noticed any changes in her own body each time that he saw her.

This, along with his constantly talking about Ivanka’s own good looks, fits with stories which have come out over the years from a number of people about how Donald Trump seemed to be obsessed with the young girls who were friends of his children or the children of his business associates.

Ohrstrom says that she and Ivanka Trump were more like sisters than best friends, but something changed after Ivanka’s 2009 marriage to Jared Kushner where she served as a maid of honor.

Then when Donald Trump became President, Ohrstrom hoped that Ivanka would have a positive effect on her father. She writes, “The Ivanka I knew spent her career developing and embodying a more polished and intellectual offshoot of the Trump brand, which blended the language and look of white millennial feminism with the mythical narrative of the business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit she claimed to have inherited from her dad. Her objective was always a more refined brand of celebrity than the bombastic, nouveau riche variety her dad had perfected.”

But now Ohrstrom says that Ivanka has “laid waste to the image she worked so hard to build.” She was bothered by Ivanka’s failure to distance herself from father Donald’s more extreme policies such as putting children of undocumented immigrants in cages.

“For the past four years I have tried to tune out the conversation that dominated international media, but it is nearly impossible to ignore when the person who used to pluck ingrown hairs from your bikini line suddenly appoints herself to the role of unelected public official and begins to torch democracy,” says Ohrstrom.

Ivanka Trump, who converted to Judaism, did not like Lysandra Ohrstrom politics regarding Israel and the Palestinian. Ohrstrom had a necklace with her name written in Arabic which bothered Trump. “How does your Jewish boyfriend feel when you are having sex and that necklace hits him in the face?” Ohrstrom says Ivanak asked her. “How can you wear that thing? It just screams, ‘terrorist.’”

Lysandra Ohrstrom also has a few choice words about how Ivanka Trump is defending her father’s baseless allegations of voter fraud and his attempts to contest the election results.

Ohrstrom does not think that Ivanka Trump will be able to return to her social scene in New York after January 20. She predicts that Ivanka and her family will end up living in Florida where they will be more welcome among the wealthy Republican community there.
