The group followed the man as he walked down Union Street towards Kingston Avenue – the heartbeat of the Chabad-Lubavitch Chassidic community.

One of the teens punched the Jewish man in the back of the head, sending the victim flying to the ground. A second teen filmed a video of the attack, police told COLLive. The attackers then fled towards Albany Avenue, and the victim walked to “770” Eastern Parkway, where he contacted 911.

A police report was filed and the case was referred to the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force. CCTV video footage is being reviewed as part of the investigation.
