Joe Biden Elected The 46th president of The United States

Joe Biden has just been declared the winner by basically all media outlets, including the conservative Fox News and the NY Post. This came after the State of Pennsylvania was called for Joe Biden.
If Joe Biden’s leads hold In in Nevada and Arizona – and this looks like the case – he could end up with more than 300 electoral votes.

But this may only be the beginning.

President Trump, of course, has been crying voter fraud since long before Election Day. And he has already filed law suits in the states where the vote margins have been slim.

However, Donald Trump’s calls for ending the ballot counting in states like Pennsylvania where he was leading up until yesterday and to continue counting where he was behind were roundly mocked for their inconsistencies.

President Trump was reportedly playing golf at the time of the announcement and he has been calling for legal action in the states where the vote totals are close.

Not long before Pennsylvania was called for Joe Biden President Trump tweeted, “I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!,” and also warned the former Vice President not to declare victory.

As of now, though, his legal challenges have not been successful.

Twitter placed the warning, “Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process,” on no fewer than four of the President’s Tweets today.

But the bad news for the President is that Republican leaders are not on board with his calls for recounts and accusations of fraud.

The Republican Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell tweeted, “Here’s how this must work in our great country: Every legal vote should be counted. Any illegally-submitted ballots must not. All sides must get to observe the process. And the courts are here to apply the laws & resolve disputes.”

Pennsylvania’s own Republican Senator Patrick J. Toomey even told CBS that, “I am not aware of any significant fraud, any significant wrongdoing.”

And the media outlets like Fox and the New York Post have been skeptical about the voter fraud allegations. Both are now saying that the President should accept the inevitable.

But those closest to President Trump have been promoting his version.
His Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany tweeted this:

And the President’s children are of course repeating his complaints.

Yesterday Ivanka Trump tweeted, “Every legally cast vote should be counted. Every illegally cast vote should not. This should not be controversial. This is not a partisan statement — free and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy.”

But she of course made no effort to show any proof of any ballots which were cast illegally.
Meanwhile, The New York Times reports that Joe Biden has already gotten to work on his transition team. On Friday night the President-Elect said, “We’re not waiting to get the work done.”

The paper suggests that Antony J. Blinken, who served as national security adviser to the vice president, is his lead candidate to be America’s new national security advisor. Michèle Flournoy, a former undersecretary of defense for policy, is seen as likely to be tapped the first woman Secretary of Defense in American history. Lael Brainard, who is a member of the Federal Reserve’s board of governors, might be the next Treasury Secretary.
