Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has pledged to spend more than $100 million nationwide on the elections.
Michael Bloomberg is continuing to use his resources to help prevent the reelection of President Trump. He is expected to spend $15 million in support of Vice President Joseph Biden in Texas and Ohio, The New York Times reports.
Both states are considered to be red states and went for Trump in 2016. And as has been often mentioned, no Republican candidate has ever won the White House without taking Ohio.
The former mayor will spend the money using his super PAC, Independence USA, on television commercials to air all over both states.

As this is going on, The Texas Tribune reports that Mr. Bloomberg is spending $2.6 million in Texas too. But here the money is going to a democrat running for railroad commissioner.
What?
That’s right, he’s backing democratic candidate Chrysta Castañeda in that election
The man who wasted $100 million of his own money in a failed bid for the Democratic Presidential nomination this year released a statement saying, ““Chrysta Castañeda will be a champion for Texans — her commitment to improving people’s lives is clear.”
“I’m glad to support Chrysta in her campaign to be the next Railroad Commissioner, because she has the vision and experience needed to build a safer, healthier, and more environmentally prosperous future for the state of Texas.”
This news comes as Democrats beg Michael Bloomberg to put money into their Senate Majority PAC, which is working at trying to win a majority in the US Senate for the Democratic Party.
Republican Senate leaders like Lindsey Graham in South Carolina – considered a safe Republican state – are having surprisingly tough reelection campaigns this year. Even if these Republicans hang on and win, their party will have needed to expend resources in aiding their campaigns which could have gone elsewhere.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, Mr. Bloomberg has said that he is not interested in dumping money into Senate campaigns. In addition to the $100 million which he already spent in Florida to help Joe Biden there, the former mayor also gave a reported $60 million to Democratic Congressional candidates.
